The best (the only?!) regular SQL Server conference that takes place in the UK is SQL Bits. In its usual tradition of moving it around the country, taking the learning to the masses, the 7th event is going to the north of England – the lovely city of York on September 30th to October 2nd 2010.
Perfect, just a short 4 hour drive up the road from Reading and it’s famous, for me, for having a football team even worse than mine and having the worst soggiest burgers I’ve ever tasted when I needed something to warm me up at a cold mid-week game. It really is a beautiful place though – before the tourist board get on my case.
They run a system whereby potential presenters provide presentation summaries and attendees can vote on those they’d like to see. Voting is open so tell them what you want to see.
